The resolution of Punjab Congress factionalism is all set to be delayed with MLA Navjot Singh Sidhu said to be reluctant on the post of Deputy CM offered to him to buy peace. Rahul Gandhi’s second meeting with the AICC panel in four days remained inconclusive today. General secretary in-charge of Punjab Harish Rawat told The Tribune that the matter was likely to be resolved by July.
Sidhu is reportedly adamant on being appointed PPCC chief but the CM wants a Hindu leader on the post. It remains to be seen how far the Congress will go to “accommodate Sidhu,” as recommended by the AICC panel.
