Bhubaneswar, Jun 17 (UNI) Amid the second wave of covid pandemic and closure of schools, the Odisha government today launched two online portals christened as “E-Pathashala” and E –Evaluation for school students in the state.
The Odisha School Education Programme Authority (OSEPA)has prepared the two portals to provide teaching, evaluate the performance and conduct examination online.
State School and Mass Education Minister Samir Ranjan Dash inaugurated the two portals today in virtual mode and held a meeting with all district education officers.
These two portals, Mr Dash said, would help in assessing the education of the students during the covid pandemic when all educational institutions are closed in the state.
Principal secretary Mass and Education Satyabrata Sahu said the dropout students during the covid pandemic and the migrant students should be identified and brought back to the mainstream of education.
OSEPA Project Director Bhupendra Singh Punia said steps have been initiated to provide teaching through U tube to the students from June 21 next across the state.
He said the online teaching would also be taken up through Doordarshan, Radio, Whatsapp and other digital platforms.
