Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt on Wednesday celebrated her grandfather's 93rd birthday with beau Ranbir Kapoor and other family members.

Ranbir, his mother Neetu Kapoor and sister Riddhima Kapoor Sahni joined Alia and Soni Razdan and Shaheen Bhatt for the birthday celebration, glimpses of which have been shared on social media.

In one of the photos, Riddhima can see her posing with Alia's grandfather, while Ranbir photobombs the frame.

She also shared selfies with her daughter Samara and mother Neetu, from the celebration.

Meanwhile, Alia took to her Instagram to wish his grandfather and called him her 'inspiration'.

"Happy 93 my inspiration. Love you gamps," she wrote, adding a picture from the low-key birthday party.

In the picture, we can see Alia posing with her grandfather, mother Soni Razdan and sister Shaheen Bhatt.

Veteran actress Soni Razdan also dedicated an emotional note to her father.

"Daddy has turned 93 years young today! The best story teller to children in the world... he used to make them up as he went along... and we even had a series called Neelam and Gagan... which he regaled my sis and me with in weekly instalments; a prolific badminton and snooker player in the olden days; a good bridge player and now an avid golfer (yes he still plays) apart from being an architect who still practices! (designed Chitrakoot and Woodlands) the list is endless and so is his boundless energy, enthusiasm and ability to tell the most hilarious jokes with full character renditions," she wrote.

"Many of the talents we possess in the family we get from him. Happy Birthday darling daddy. You make us all proud," she added.

Shaheen too dedicated a post to her grandfather. She uploaded two pictures on Instagram and she wished the happiest birthday to her "most favourite face in all this world."

In one of the pictures, Alia and Shaheen are seen gleaming while with their grandfather.

Meanwhile, Ranbir and Alia are often seen accompanying each other on family get-togethers. In one of his interviews last year, Ranbir had revealed that he would have married Alia if it weren't for the pandemic.

On the work front, both Ranbir and Alia will be seen sharing screen space in Ayan Mukerji's 'Brahmastra', which also features Amitabh Bachchan, Dimple Kapadia, Mouni Roy and Nagarjuna.
