U.S. health chief says focus now on bolstering Obamacare after court ruling -CNN
WASHINGTON, June 17 (Reuters) - The U.S. Supreme Court's Affordable Care Act ruling allows the Biden administration to move forward and bolster the 2010 healthcare law, including boosting affordability and coverage, U.S. Health Secretary Xavier Becerra said on Thursday.
"We're now about building it, not just protecting it," he told CNN in an interview, adding that possible next steps could include permanently extending tax credits passed during the COVID pandemic and expanding Medicaid coverage in U.S. states that have yet not done so. (Reporting by Susan Heavey)
