A van was coated in a thick layer of slurry by vengeful muck spreaders after its driver blocked a farmyard entrance while he went for a pint.

The 20-ton tanker was unable to maneuver around the Transit van in Wigston, Leicestershire.

The farm workers initially went to the pub to track down the thoughtless driver - but were unable to find him.

In retaliation, they tipped a thick layer of slurry over the van, leaving its windows coated in the mud-like substance.

But, the driver ended the dispute amicably, admitting it was his fault for parking in the unfortunate spot.

He and the slurry spreaders hosed down the van - before the driver bought the farm workers a drink as an apology.

The farmer - who asked not to be named - told The Sun: 'We have had a lot of problems with parking.

'On this occasion, it was pretty obstructive. The entry is only about 10ft wide and the slurry tankers couldn't turn in.

'Apparently the lads doing the spreading contacted the pub and warned them but the van owner later claimed he didn't recognise his own registration number when they called it out.'

The farmer was reportedly being 'driven mad' by local thugs.

Charlie Burns, 20, and his pals had been on a day trip from Tyneside to High Force waterfall in Teesdale, County Durham, when the Vauxhall Corsa suffered a blow out.

The yellow forklift - operated by an as yet unconfirmed driver - came speeding down the drive towards the car past a stunned Mr Burns who was standing next to the car.

With its forks lowered the machine picked up and flipped the Corsa before pushing it out onto the B6277 road.
