Slovakia defender and coaching staff member tested positive for Covid-19 – Slovakia manager Stefan Tarkovic confirmed that defender Denis Vavro and a member of his coaching staff have contracted the Covid-19 virus.
They are scheduled to face Sweden in a Group E encounter at the Krestovsky Stadium on Friday. The gaffer didn’t divulge many details but he went on to add that Vavro doesn’t have any symptoms and has been isolated from the rest of the team.
Earlier a number of cases have been reported within the participating countries but none of them was during the tournament. Sweden pair Dejan Kulusevski and Mattias Svanberg tested positive for the virus but that was also before Euro 2020 kicked off.
