Goa registered 310 fresh COVID-19 positive cases on Wednesday and recorded 13 more deaths linked with the dreaded infection in the last 24 hours in the state.
The positivity rate of the total 2,588 samples tested on Wednesday stands at 11.97 per cent, little higher than Tuesday, which was 10.48 per cent.
As per the media bulletin released by the directorate of health services on Wednesday, with 310 COVID-19 positive cases, the active cases stand at 4,044 and total confirmed positive cases mounted to 1,63,358 in the state.
According to the mortality bulletin, out of 13 deaths, 11 were recorded at Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, one at South Goa District Hospital, Margao and one at a private hospital in North Goa, taking the death toll linked to the coronavirus to 2,960 in the state.
At the same time, 428 more people have recovered from the dreaded disease taking the tally of recovered patients to 1, 56,354. On Wednesday, 34 people were discharged from the hospital, 42 positive patients hospitalised and 268 asymptomatic patients preferred to be in home isolation.
According to the DHS, active positive cases across the state are as follows;
Urban Health Centres: Margao -249, Panaji – 236, Mapusa – 89 and Vasco – 147. Community Health Centres: Sankhali –153, Bicholim – 75, Pernem – 112, Valpoi – 87, Curchorem – 100 and Canacona – 106.
And, Primary Health Centres: Aldona – 30, Betki –104, Candolim – 121, Cansarvanem – 31, Colvale – 87, Corlim –123, Chimbel – 233, Siolim – 90, Porvorim- 125, Mayem – 46, Balli – 82, Cansaulim – 122, Chinchinim – 91 Cortalim – 168, Curtorim – 103, Loutolim – 111, Marcaim – 102, Quepem – 104, Sanguem – 112, Shiroda- 129, Dharbandora – 99, Ponda – 402 and Navelim – 75.
