NEW DELHI: Lok Jan Shakti (LJP) leader
Chirag Paswan on Wednesday attacked his uncle
Pashupati Paras and other MPs for trying to break the party.
He further said he would have "happily" made his uncle Pashupati Paras the leader of the parliamentary party if he had come to him first.
" If you had told me about wanting to become the leader of the party, I would've happily made you the leader. I have no problems with it," said Chirag.
" I have continuously tried to get in touch with uncle even after the elections in case he had any grievances," Paswan further said.
"I was unwell for quite some time and many things have happened during this period. There were several reports of JD(U) trying to break party," said Chirag.
"Efforts were made to break my party even when father(
Ram Vilas Paswan) was in hospital," said Chirag.
He further attacked his uncle Pashupati Paras and other rebel leaders for being not up for the "struggle" of politics.
"Many party members, including my uncle, did not take active part in campaign. There were some people who wanted to live in comfort zone. I agree and accept, if LJP would have gone with JD(U) and
NDA in Bihar, we would have swept the
Bihar polls," said
Chirag Paswan.
Paswan further said he and his party have not compromised on its principles and will continue to do so.
