LATEST COVID-19 DEVELOPMENTS:
* Melbourne's 25km travel limit will be lifted and other restrictions are set to ease, as a COVID-19 cluster continues to grow at an inner-city townhouse complex.
* Acting Premier James Merlino confirmed the further easing of COVID-19 restrictions for Melbourne and regional Victoria from 11.59pm on Thursday.
* People who live in Melbourne will be able to travel to regional Victoria, host two adult visitors plus their dependents per day and gather outdoors in groups of 20.
* Victorian snowfields will welcome back Melbourne skiers and snowboarders but only with proof of a negative test.
* Victoria officially recorded five new local COVID-19 cases in the 24 hours to Wednesday morning, including two cases linked to a Southbank townhouse complex announced on Tuesday.
* Two of the three other new cases are close contacts of people within the Kings Park Apartment Complex who previously tested positive for the virus.
* The other is a nurse at Epping Private Hospital, where three COVID-positive Arcare Maidstone aged care residents were transferred about 10 days ago.
* A new locally transmitted COVID-19 case has been recorded in the Bondi area of eastern Sydney as authorities scramble to track down the source of the infection.
* NSW Health says the case is a man in his 60s who has not travelled overseas in recent times but has worked as a driver, including transporting international flight crew.
* The Australian Health Protection Principal Committee will convene on Wednesday to discuss the Bondi case.
* One in four Australian adults have now received at least one dose of the coronavirus vaccine, with more than six million jabs administered across the country.
* Former finance minister Mathias Cormann, who now heads a major international economic body, declared the vaccine rollout was a race.

* Up to 7000 fans will be able to attend Geelong's AFL match against the Western Bulldogs but crowds won't be allowed to return to games in Melbourne.

* There have been 6,083,320 doses administered in the national COVID-19 vaccination rollout up to Tuesday, including 152,075 in the previous 24 hours.
* Of the total, 3,671,646 have been administered by the Commonwealth (an increase of 82,523 in the previous 24 hours).
* 3,260,723 have been issued in primary care (+73,445) and 410,923 in aged and disability facilities (+9078).
* 2,411,674 have been administered by the states and territories, including 69,552 in the previous 24 hours.
* 831,856 have been administered in Victoria (+25,618), 615,471 in NSW (+17,223), 377,309 in Queensland (+12,990), 223,374 in Western Australia (+4288), 161,301 in South Australia (+4458), 88,849 in Tasmania (+2140 ), 66,789 in the ACT (+1223) and 46,725 in the NT (+1612).
AUSTRALIAN CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* Australia reported five new local coronavirus cases on Wednesday, all in Victoria.
* There were 11 new overseas-acquired cases in hotel quarantine: four in SA, three each in Victoria and NSW, and one in WA.
* The national death toll is 910: Victoria 820, NSW 56, Tasmania 13, WA 9, Queensland 7, SA 4, ACT 3 (Two Queensland residents who died in NSW have been included in the official tolls of both states).
GLOBAL CORONAVIRUS NUMBERS:
* Cases: at least 176,646,000.
* Deaths: at least 3,822,000.
* Vaccine doses administered: at least 2,405,641,000.
