22-year-old girl beats woman, snatches her mobile phone; incident caught on camera

In a shocking incident, a 22-year-old girl was arrested for beating a woman and snatching her mobile phone in Delhi.

The incident took place in the Sultanpuri area of Delhi on Saturday.

The girl was arrested in Delhi’s Mongolpuri area. As per India Today report, the accused girl used to rob mobile phones of people to buy liquor and other substances.

The incident came to light when a victim who is a resident of Krishan Vihar in Sultanpuri, Delhi, approached police and registered a case against a girl who snatched her mobile phone and fled from the spot.

Police scanned the CCTV camera installed in the area and then managed to arrest the accused girl.

In the CCTV footage, the woman can be seen walking on a street and speaking on her mobile phone and all of sudden the girl attacked her from behind, beat her, and ran away from the spot after snatching the mobile phone of the woman.

Police told that they had questioned around four dozen suspects and then tracked down the accused girl in the Mangolpuri area of Delhi.

Subsequently, the girl was arrested and police recovered the robbed mobile phone and clothes which she had worn during the time of the crime.
