- Two die in road accident near Madurai

MADURAI: Two men died when a van hit the two-wheeler they were travelling on near Melur in Madurai district of Tamil Nadu on Tuesday night.
The deceased have been identified as S Prabu,29, and his friend N Ganesan, 32. They hailed from Vaniparipatti near Melur. Prabu rode the two-wheeler while Ganesan rode pillion on it.
The accident happened at Keelavalavu on the Melur-Sivaganga Road.
The Keelavalavu police registered a case. Van driver G Sivakumar, 28, was arrested.
