Sugarcane: Haryana Minister promises payment by July 10

Haryana Cooperative Minister Banwari Lal said the payment of arrears of sugarcane farmers will be made by 10 July 2021.

He announced this during the review meeting held with the officials of Haryana State Cooperative Sugar Mills Federation (Sugarfed) on Monday. The news was shared by Official Twitter handle of the Directorate of Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Haryana.

He informed that during the recent crushing season 2020-2021, the cooperative sugar mills have procured 429.35 lakh quintals of sugarcane, which amounts to a total amount of 1500.83 crore, out of which Rs 1082.16 crore has been given to the sugarcane farmers and the remaining amount will be paid till 10th July 2021.
