The Kolsewadi police arrested two Govandi residents for theft at Hanuman temple in Kalyan on Tuesday morning.
KALYAN: The Kolsewadi police arrested two men for theft at Hanuman temple in Kalyan on Tuesday morning.
The accused have been identified as Irfan Khan, 23 and Faisal Khan, 27.
Vivek Pansare, deputy commissioner of police, Thane Police said, "When the team questioned them, we found that the duo had stolen brass temple accessories and cash from donation box at a temple few hours ago."
"The accused hail from Govandi area in Mumbai. We are now checking for their past criminal history," Anil Powar, assistant commissioner of police, Kalyan.
This is the second temple theft in a week in Kalyan area.
