A fire has broken out at the Convergence Block of the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. The fire has been reported on the ninth floor of the building and efforts are being made to douse it.

The Convergence Block building mostly houses laboratories and the examination section.

It is basically a diagnostic building with multipurpose labs, examination section as well as an in-built auditorium with AIIMS SET Facility.

The cause of the fire is not known and the extent of damage has not been ascertained so far.

No injuries have been reported. It is not known if anyone was on the said floor when the fire broke out.
