Hyundai announces Covid pandemic support initiatives for employees

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMI) has announced series of initiatives to extend support to its employees during the second wave of coronavirus in the country. According to Stephen Sudhakar, Senior Vice President and Unit Head, Hyundai Motor India Limited, the company has a strong value system that encourages the company to achieve its goals. Due to the Covid-19 scenario prevailing in the country, the company is doing its bit to ensure the safety and well-being of our employees. He is hopeful that the crisis will be over if the team is together. The company has ensured robust policies to benefit the employees, he added.

HMI has organized in-house camps for the vaccination of employees and their families. The company has offered paid leave for the employees who are corona positive or are showing symptoms. The employees will be given compensation and promotions on time. HMIL has launched various programs like virtualization and digital workspace solutions, strategic tie-ups with hospitals, 24*7 help desk, enhanced medical coverage for COVID-19 employees and their families, in-house awareness sessions, Interest-free loan up to Rs. 0.3 million, mandatory RTPCR tests for new recruits, in case of death of any employee his family will be provided additional death benefits, and ensuring COVID-19 SOPs are adhered to by increasing the bus fleet and canteen seating arrangements for employees.
