Machhiwara woman dies, 67 test positive

Ludhiana: A 33-year-old woman of Machhiwara Chorian lost her life to Covid-19 and 67 residents of Ludhiana tested positive on Tuesday.
Chief medical officer Dr Kiran Ahluwalia said, “One death was registered here on the day. Seventy-seven new cases were reported, of which 67 are of Ludhiana.”
The district’s toll has climbed to 2,065.
The new cases include three contacts of Covid patients, 23 from OPD, 30 from flu corner, one healthcare worker, one severe acute respiratory infection case and nine through tracing process.
The district’s case count is 86,384.
On Tuesday, 511 people were home quarantined and 3,575 samples were collected.
