Preview:
The bottom two teams of PSL 2021 – Multan Sultans and Quetta Gladiators will square off at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi for the 25th fixture on Wednesday night.
Sitting at the bottom-second spot in the league standings with three wins in seven encounters, Multan Sultans are coming off after securing morale-boosting 8 wickets win over Peshawar Zalmi in their last fixture on Sunday night. The Abu Dhabi pitch seems to suit Sultans’ as they have managed back-to-back wins in their two games played at the venue so far. They will be looking to continue their good form against the Gladiators and secure a third win on the trot to keep their hopes alive for the knockout stages.
Quetta Gladiators, meanwhile, are languishing at the bottom of the table with just one win so far in seven outings. They are almost out of the race to the knockout stages. They have faced back-to-back defeats in their two games played at Abu Dhabi so far and will be eager to bounce back and salvage their pride securing wins in their last couple of games.
Interestingly, Quetta Gladiators’ only win this season came against Multan Sultans when both teams met at National Stadium in Karachi. The Gladiators secured 22 runs win after successfully defending 177 runs target against Sultans.
Let’s see, if they manage to break their losing streak making a double over Sultans or not. The match will start at 09:30 PM IST.
