Nissan India has now announced that their entire range of Nissan and Datsun products will now be available through Canteen Store Departments or CSD. Nissan has announced that Defence personnel can now avail all CSD approved applicable discounts and offers through CSD Depots across the country. Nissan India has announced that they will be offering Magnite, Kicks and Datsun GO, Datsun Go Plus and RediGo via Army canteen.
Commenting about the initiative, Rakesh Srivastava, Managing Director, Nissan Motor India said, “Nissan is honored to serve our brave defence personnel and is delighted to bring the entire range of Nissan and Datsun products along with the newly launched game changer in the SUV segment, the all-new Nissan Magnite, at the highest value proposition,”
The process of buying cars for CSD beneficiaries is online, including the selection of vehicle to be purchased, uploading of dealer documents viz. Availability Certificate & Proforma Invoice, customer documents viz. Canteen Card, KYC, payment transfer details etc. till Issuance of Local Supply Order (LSO) being digitized. Nissan also mentions that they offer transparent and affordable car services on Nissan’s digital platform: [email protected], that allows defence personnel to book their desired vehicle online and avail these CSD offers by informing the dealership. Nissan also mentions that the customer can complete the process online and can make payment at the dealership afterwards. The [email protected] experience includes a virtual showroom and virtual test drive, which conveniently provides the options to personalize the car, evaluate exchange value of existing car, calculate, compare EMIs and apply for finance before booking the vehicle. This smooth experience of online shopping continues to be available for all Nissan prospects and customers.
Nissan Magnite is currently the most popular product from Nissan’s stable. It was launched in the market last year and quickly became popular among customers for its distinct look and pricing. The main benefit of buying a Nissan Magnite from an Army Canteen is the discount. The base XE trim of Nissan Magnite costs around Rs 5.59 lakh, ex-showroom but, when the same is sold via Canteen Store Departments, the price is Rs 4.82 lakh, which means, a defence personnel is saving around Rs 77,000. Nissan is also offering features like Nissan Cost Calculator, Nissan ‘Book a Service’ and Nissan ‘Pick-up & Drop-off’ service. Nissan is also offering RSA across 29 states and 1500+ cities along with 24*7 multi-lingual call centre operational services to help customers.
Nissan Magnite is available with two engine options. There is a 1.0 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine. The turbo petrol version gets a CVT gearbox option. Nissan Kicks SUV, which is a mid-size SUV is also available with petrol engine options only. There is a 1.3 litre turbo petrol engine that is offered with a manual and CVT gearbox option. The naturally aspirated version is a 1.5 litre unit. Datsun Redi-Go is available with a manual and AMT gearbox options whereas the Datsun Go and Go Plus hatchbacks are available with manual and CVT gearbox options.
