Equinix commits to becoming climate-neutral across global operations by 2030

Wednesday 16 June 2021 | 16:45 CET | News
Equinix said it aims to become climate-neutral across its global operations and supply chain by 2030. The move is in line with the Paris Climate Agreement, which hopes to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and keep global warming to 1.5 degrees Celsius. The company hopes to achieve its goal by driving energy efficiency savings, reducing refrigerant loss, phasing out high global warming potential (GWP) refrigerants and investigating the replacement of diesel generators with cleaner on-site generation technologies.
