Share price of MRF falls as Sensex drops 236.01 points

Share price of Ltd. dropped 0.12 per cent to Rs 82750.0 at 11:02AM (IST) in Wednesday's trade. The counter hit a high of Rs 83140.75 and low of Rs 82442.65 so far during the session. The stock had closed at Rs 82848.6 in the previous session.

The counter had a total traded volume of 11:02AM shares so far with a turnover of Rs 1.35 crore on BSE. The stock traded at a price-to-earnings multiple of 27.49 and a price-to-book ratio of 2.02.

A higher price-to-earnings ratio shows investors are willing to pay a higher price for per rupee earnings given by the stock because of better future growth expectations.

The price-to-book value indicates the inherent value of a company and is the measure of the price that investors are ready to pay even for no growth in the business.

Promoters held 27.84 per cent stake in the company as of 31-Mar-2021, while FIIs and domestic institutional investors ownership stood at 18.89 per cent and 8.87 per cent, respectively.

Key Financials
The firm reported consolidated net sales of Rs 4874.2 crore for the quarter ended 31-Mar-2021, up 3.59 per cent from the previous quarter's Rs 4705.22 crore and up 30.14 per cent from the year-ago quarter's Rs 3745.21 crore.

Its profit for the latest quarter stood at Rs 332.15 crore, down 51.08 per cent from the same quarter a year ago.
