Kelsey Plum scores 32 vs. Liberty as Aces win fourth straight

Kelsey Plum scored 32 points to lead five Las Vegas scorers in double figures as the host Aces won their fourth consecutive game with a 100-78 victory over the New York Liberty on Tuesday night.

Dearica Hamby scored 16 points, Liz Cambage added 14 points and 11 rebounds, Jackie Young scored 11, and A'ja Wilson 10 as the Aces (9-3) won for the seventh time in eight games.

Jazmine Jones scored 17 points, Betnijah Laney added 15, Kylee Shook had 12 and Sami Whitcomb 10 to lead the Liberty (6-5), who fell to 1-1 on a four-game trip. They visit the Aces again Thursday.

New York guard Sabrina Ionescu missed her second consecutive game because of ankle tendinitis.

The Liberty pulled within one point twice early in the third quarter before the Aces extended the lead to 59-53.

Jones made a 3-pointer for the Liberty before the Aces scored eight straight points for a 67-56 lead.

New York closed within seven points before consecutive baskets by Plum completed a 6-0 run that gave Las Vegas a 73-60 lead at the end of the third quarter.

Gray made a 3-pointer and Plum followed with two free throws to start the fourth-quarter scoring and put the Aces in command.

There were five lead changes and three ties in the first quarter before a 7-0 run gave the Liberty a 17-12 lead. New York led by as many as six points before Plum's basket with 22 seconds left pulled Las Vegas within 26-22 at the end of the quarter.

Michaela Onyenwere and Shook each made a 3-pointer to start the second quarter and push the Liberty's lead to 10 points.

The Aces used a 17-2 run - led by Plum's nine points -- to grab a six-point lead before Jones made a 3-pointer with 43 seconds left to pull New York within 48-45 at halftime.
