Maruti Suzuki is India’s largest car manufacturer in India. They have a variety of products in their lineup. Maruti Suzuki sells their product via two separate chain of dealerships. Models like Alto, Brezza, Ertiga, Swift are all sold via Arena dealerships. Models like Ignis, Ciaz, S-Cross are considered to be the premium offerings and they are sold via Nexa dealerships. Ignis is the entry level model sold via Nexa and Ignis was one of those hatchbacks that had a very unique design and that attracted a bunch of enthusiasts who love to modify cars. We have seen several modified Maruti Ignis hatchbacks in the past and here we have one that has been modified by Eimor Customs.
Eimor Customs is a well known name among motorcyclists. They have modified several Royal Enfield motorcycle in the past. This is probably the first time, we are seeing a car being modified by Eimor Customs. The car looks gorgeous with all these modifications in place. Unlike many other Maruti Ignis that we have seen in the past, it doesn’t get any wild looking body kits or lowered suspension setup.
The good chaps at Eimor customs have payed around with the existing components on Ignis to make it more appealing. Starting with the front, the grille on this small hatchback remains the same but, it has now been painted in Tinsel Blue shade. The hatchback looks like a lower trim version as it misses out on features like projector headlamps and LED DRLs. This is also a pre-facelift model and not the version launched last year at the Auto Expo.
Suzuki logo in the middle of the grille has been retained but, black slats on either side of the logo get Red accents. Similar Red accents are seen on the bonnet as well. The Tinsel Blue coloured garnish is seen around the fog lamp as well. Other than this, no major modifications have been done to the front end.
Coming to the side profile, Eimor has installed an Ignis Racing sticker on the side fender and the main modification one would notice here are the wheels. The company fitted steel rims have been replaced for aftermarket alloy wheels. The multi-spoke gloss black alloy wheels do not look like wider units as well. It seems like the theme for this Maruti Ignis was to make it look like a rally car and Eimor Customs nailed it with the dual tone paint job and racing strips.
The front end on this Maruti Ignis has a silver paint job and as it move towards the rear, the shade changes to Tinsel Blue. Both these colours are available with Ignis from factory. There is a grey and a Red strip between these colours. It is not known whether Eimor customs wrapped or painted the car completely for this purpose. The roof has been completely blacked out. Images of the interiors are not available in this post but, from what we can see, the front seats have been replaced with racing bucket seats. We are not sure whether this particular Ignis has received any performance upgrades. Maruti Ignis is powered by a 1.2 litre naturally aspirated petrol engine and it is available with both manual and AMT gearbox options.
