A brazen shoplifter was caught on video stuffing items into a garbage bag inside a San Francisco Walgreens and then pedaling off on his bike — in front of a security guard who simply recorded the theft on his phone.
The shocking footage, posted on Twitter by KGO-TV reporter Lyanne Melendez, shows the unidentified thief filling up on stolen goods as two people — one apparently a security guard — stand in the aisle with their phones out.
The crook then hops on his bike and pedals past the pair, with the guard making a failed attempt to grab the bag before the man bikes to the automatic front door and takes off.

“This just happened at the @Walgreens on Gough & Fell Streets in San Francisco. #NoConsequences,” Melendez wrote in her post, which also tagged San Francisco District Attorney Chesa Boudin.
One online commenter noted that the entire heist was caught on video and will likely make it easier for cops to catch up with the culprit.
“The security guard got it all video and no store patron was injured in the process,” he wrote. “Win-Win. The video will be circulated throughout the Bay Area Law enforcement. Dude is screwed.”

Fox News, which picked up the story, said Walgreens did not reply to a request for comment. The network said the troubled retailer has closed 17 stores in the California city over the past five years.
