MUMBAI: Ekta Kapoor's show Molkki which airs on Colors is one of the most popular drama series on the small screen.

Priyal Mahajan is currently ruling several hearts with her performance in Molkki.

The actress plays the lead role of Purvi on the show and is paired opposite Amar Upadhyay who is seen as Virender.

There is quite an age gap between Priyal and Amar but the duo has always managed to spread magic with their stunning onscreen chemistry.

Molkki's story is based on a real-life incident that has been still happened in many parts of India.

Molkki is a so-called tradition, in which poor girls are married to a wealthy man in exchange for money. This act is forbidden, Molkki is still practised in some regions of India.

Well, it seems Ekta Kapoor's show has managed to create an impact on many people out there.

Amar Upadhyay who plays the lead role on the show shared a fan message who is revealing how the Molkki Pratha that was happening in his village in Rajasthan has stopped now after they watched the show.

The fan further claims that he showed the serial to the villagers and also the panchayat and they all liked it. In fact, they also learnt a lesson from this. Isn't that amazing?
