Big Brother's Tilly Whitfeld defends fellow housemate Jess Trend after she's flooded with homophobic comments from trolls
Big Brother's Tilly Whitfeld has come out swinging in defence of her housemate, Jess Trend.
The Australian rules footballer, 29, revealed over the weekend that she had been the subject of homophobic trolls on social media.
In an Instagram post shared on Sunday, Tilly, 21, wrote: 'It breaks my heart Jessie is still getting hate.

'Whilst I understand that people are going off what you (as a viewer) are shown just remember it is a show for your entertainment.

'By no means do you have to like all of us and I understand that, but when it reaches a point that someone is targeted and personally attacked based on their sexuality it's quite a disgusting comment on society.'
She went on: 'Obviously that's only a minority of people, but some comments I see are disgraceful along with the messages Jessie is receiving weeks after her eviction.

Alongside the post, Tilly shared a photo of herself and Jess giggling during a challenge on the show.
Earlier this month, Jess Trend broke down in tears after being evicted from the Big Brother house.

The AFLW player from Melbourne failed to plead her case to her fellow housemates and ended up with the most votes.
Jess was sent home after receiving more votes than Sarah Jane Adams, 66.
She broke down in tears as she hugged all the housemates goodbye.
After leaving the house, she told the cameras: 'That's not how I wanted to end. Not even close. I honestly thought I would be saved, I don't know where the vote went.'
