Noida: As many as 61 people, including 46 men and 15 women, have been arrested from a “pool party” being held in a farmhouse in the Yamuna Khadar area in Sector 135 for violating lockdown guidelines, police said on Monday. This was the fourth such party busted by the Noida police in less than a month. Apart from the organisers, everyone has been bailed out from the police station. A challan of Rs 6,100 each has been imposed on the participants for using the same pool in violation of Covid-safety protocols, police said, adding the farmhouse owner has also been booked. Expressway SHO Yatindra Kumar told TOI that the six organisers had booked the farmhouse for Rs 20,000 for four hours and each participant was supposed to pay a minimum of Rs 1,000. “Most of the men in attendance were students from Delhi,” he said. Additional DCP (Noida) Ranvijay Singh said that Haryana-made liquor was recovered from the spot. An FIR has been lodged against all the 61 accused under IPC sections 188, 269 and 270, while a separate FIR has been lodged against the seven main accused, including the caretaker and the organisers, under the Excise Act at the Expressway police station. On Saturday night, 14 people were arrested from a party that was organised in violation of Covid norms from a farmhouse in the Yamuna Khadar area. Earlier, on June 8, as many as 13 youths and three Uzbek women were arrested from a birthday party organised in a farmhouse in Noida's Sector 135. And on May 31, the Noida cops arrested 15 people in connection with another birthday party at a residential society in the city.
