There is good news for the world which has been hit by the Corona epidemic for the last one and a half years. This news is about the decline in the cases of corona infection. The World Health Organization has informed that in the last 50 days, there has been a decline in new cases related to corona all over the world. The WHO has also said that the number of deaths due to this has come down but their speed is very less. This information given by the organization is very special because, for the first time in a year and a half, it has been seen that the number of corona infected has reduced in the whole world. WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus gave this information during a press conference.

According to the WHO chief, the number of people who died of corona in the last two weeks was almost the same. He has also expressed the apprehension that many countries are not presenting the correct figures for their deaths. He has also expressed concern that there is a shortage of vaccine centers and oxygen in African countries. In such a situation, the situation there can become more worrying. In this press conference, he has also referred to the Lancet report which states that fewer cases of corona have been reported in Africa than in other regions. But on the other hand, the death toll is highest here among serious patients.

According to Dr. Ghebreyesus, the risk of infection is very high among those who are still outside the scope of protection. The organization has warned that the speed of the virus is much faster than the speed of the vaccine. Meanwhile, he has welcomed the announcement of the G-7 countries in which they have assured to provide 87 crore doses. Ghebreyesus said that this is a great aid but it has to be made available at the earliest. At the same time, he has also said that these countries can provide 11 billion doses to the world. They should work fast towards it. They welcomed the proposed treaty to deal with epidemics by the G-7 countries. During this, he stressed that many countries of the world need a vaccine now and not next year.
