Intense rain likely in parts of Mumbai, Thane: IMD

Parts of Thane and Navi Mumbai have been recording light rains since Tuesday morning
MUMBAI: IMD Mumbai on Tuesday morning issued a nowcast warning stating that moderate to intense spells of rains were likely to occur at isolated places in parts of Mumbai and Thane during the next three hours.
KS Hosalikar, scientist IMD, tweeted that there is a possibility of some intense spells of rains towards city side areas like Colaba, CST, Worli and adjoining parts for coming 2-3 hours.

Parts of Thane and Navi Mumbai have been recording light rains since Tuesday morning. In the 24 hours ending Tuesday morning at 8.30am, IMD Colaba observatory has recorded no rains and IMD Santacruz observatory has recorded 0.8mm rains.
