Former Miss South African Marilyn Mahoney (Ramos) has welcomed her first child with husband, Louwrens Mahoney.

Marilyn made the announcement on Instagram, captioning a photo taken at the hospital: "This week we have been blessed with the most life changing and precious gift from God! During the early morning hours on Monday our baby boy was welcomed into the world! Instantaneously our hearts were overwhelmed with a new incomprehensible love, joy and sense of purpose. [sic]"

In a separate post on Sunday, Marilyn shared a photo of her son, along with the meaning of his name, Seth. "Welcome to the world our gorgeous baby," she wrote.

The couple announced the exciting news that they were expecting a child in December, and in February, revealed the child's gender.

Previously speaking to Huisgenoot, Marilyn, crowned Miss South Africa 2012, said that the first three months of her pregnancy had been a "breeze". "... I wasn't sick, and I didn't have any symptoms. We are now at the halfway mark, and I am still healthy and fortunate that I'm still able to exercise," she said.

Marilyn and Louwrens, who tied the knot in 2018, said they believe their son will be "bold" and "courageous."
