One dead following single-vehicle crash in Custer Twp.

A 40-year-old North Branch man died following a single-vehicle crash in Custer Township Saturday. 

Sanilac County Central Dispatch received a report of a rollover crash on Gates Road near Forester Road shortly after 7:30 a.m., according to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department. 

The North Branch man was southbound on Gates Road when he lost control of his 2003 Chevrolet Tahoe. The vehicle entered the ditch on the west side of the road and flipped multiple times before coming to rest, the sheriff department said. 

Police said the driver was ejected from the vehicle. 

The man was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash. 

The man was not wearing his seatbelt, the sheriff department said. 

Sandusky police and fire departments also assisted at the scene of the crash.
