In the past few years, Samsung has followed a product roadmap where it starts off the year by launching a new flagship and then releases its affordable version towards the second half. It is widely expected to continue with the trend in 2021 as well. We have seen various leaks and rumors about an under-development affordable flagship Galaxy S21 FE.

There are no prizes for guessing that this particular phone will be a cheaper version of the Galaxy S21 flagship. It was rumored to go official in August but a recent leak claimed that Samsung has halted its production. The decision is said to have been taken due to a supply shortage of crucial components.

However, Samsung has come forward to deny the claims officially. In a message received by Bloomberg, the company said: “While we cannot discuss details of the unreleased product, nothing has been determined regarding the alleged production suspension." This makes it clear that no such decision has been taken yet but there is always a possibility that it might happen in the future.

If we talk about what to expect from the phone, the Galaxy S21 FE is tipped to feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED flat punch-hole display. It will have a back panel made out of the "Glastic" material. It is basically plastic but gives users a feel of glass. There will be metallic frames that will add to the premium feel of the device. The camera module will be the same as the Galaxy S21 in terms of appearance and sensor arrangement. However, the exact technical specifications of these cameras can change.
