Kuehn: Port Huron infant's death Sunday not believed to be suspicious

Port Huron Police investigated the death of a five-month-old infant Sunday, June 13, 2021, but Assistant Chief Marcy Kuehn said the circumstances weren't believed to be suspicious.

The Port Huron Police Department investigated the death of an infant on Sunday afternoon, but Assistant Chief Marcy Kuehn said circumstances do not appear to be suspicious.

Kuehn said authorities received a call about a “baby not breathing” around 1:30 p.m. in the 1400 block of Pine Grove Avenue Sunday before detectives arrived to investigate.

At around 7 p.m. Sunday, she said, “We’re crossing all our T’s and dotting all our I’s an talking to all the neighbors.”

The infant was a five-month-old boy.
