Agartala, Jun 14 (UNI) A large number of volunteers of CPI-M youth wing DYFI and student wing SFI demonstrated before police headwaters protesting the mute role of police against the miscreants who have been attacking the opposition leaders and the workers for the last three years across the state.
The DYFI state secretary Nabarun Deb alleged that a large number of bikers belonging to the ruling BJP had attacked the house of SFI state secretary Sandipan Deb last night in the Ramnagar area of the city during Corona curfew.
The attackers came in front of the police and stormed the house for 15 minutes. Sandiapn and two of his brothers were injured in the scuffle.
“The miscreants raised Joy Sree Ram slogan during the attack and warned Sandipan and his family to stop CPI-M activities henceforth, otherwise, action will be severe. This is the third time, BJP miscreants attacked Sandipan’s house after the Biplab Kr Deb led government came to power. Despite specific complaints, police didn’t take a single action against anybody in three years, which is the biggest encouragement for the criminals,” Nabarun stated.
He further stated that BJP goons have been preventing leftists from distributing relief to the Corona affected family, holding blood donation camps and any form of social service but police and administration have been doing nothing and added, “We want to make it very clear to police if they continue to do so, people will resist the criminals and police will be held responsible for all adverse eventuality.”
Deb pointed out that every day there is an attack some way or other on the opposition.
