The outbreak of the second wave of the Kovid-19 epidemic seems to be calming down in the country. During the last 24 hours, 70,421 new cases of corona infection were reported in the country and 3,921 infected people died. After this, the total number of infected people in the country has gone up to 2,95,10,410 and the death toll has gone up to 3,74,305. The Union Health Ministry released the latest data related to the epidemic on Monday morning.

According to the Ministry of Health, in the last 24 hours, 1,19,501 infected people were discharged from the hospital. After this, the total number of discharges increased to 2,81,62,947. At the same time, the total number of active cases in the country is 9,73,158. The National Immunization Campaign started in the country on 16 January. Under this, the total vaccination figure so far is 25,48,49,301, out of which 14,99,771 have been vaccinated.

According to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 14,92,152 sample tests were conducted for the coronavirus in India till Sunday. After this, the total number of samples tested so far in the country is 37,96,24,626.
