OJEE 2021:  The Odisha government on Monday postponed the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) 2021. Owing to the current Covid situation in the state, the government today said, “In view of the prevailing COVID19 pandemic, Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE – 2021), tentatively scheduled from June 17 to 24, has been postponed. The revised dates will be notified in the first week of July.”

Odisha has been recording the highest number of COVID cases. On Monday, the state reported 4339 Covid cases. Currently, the state has nearly 6,000 active cases. Earlier, the state had canceled the Class 12 board exams owing to the current state of the pandemic.

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik earlier had that said the safety of students was more important than the examinations. The state government had already cancelled the class 10 board examination, conducted by the Board of Secondary Education.

OJEE is a state-level examination held for admissions into various courses offered by private and government medical, engineering and management colleges in Odisha. The administering body has released separate forms for application to different programmes.
