Hyderabad: Fruit vendors experiencing problems due to lockdown

Hyderabad: Since the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic, daily commitment, including street vendors, fruit vendors are facing many problems, both due to diseases and lockdown to contain the virus.

Many fruit sellers have spoken to siasat.com reporters, claiming that their earnings after paying interest are insufficient to cover the daily expenses.

When they asked the Telangana government to help them financially, they said they were paying 20 percent in interest. Apart from loans, the closure also has a huge impact on their business.

Recently, the government of Telangana has increased the leisure hours. It brought relief to daily earners.

Meanwhile, Telangana continues to sign up again COVID-19 incidents. On Saturday, the state recorded 1,771 new COVID-19 cases, which pushed the score to 6,028,898, while the death toll rose to 3,469 with another 13 deaths.
