For the second year, Queen Elizabeth II celebrated her official birthday with a 'mini-Trooping' ceremony.

Trooping the Colour marks the official birthday of the British Sovereign and is celebrated on the second Saturday of June.

In March, Buckingham Place announced that the annual military parade had been cancelled - due to the coronavirus pandemic - and that an alternative parade in the quadrangle at Windsor Castle is being considered.

On Saturday, the Queen was joined by her cousin Prince Edward, Duke of Kent, at a scaled-down military parade held by the Household Division to mark the special occasion.
