Mumbai reported 700 new COVID-19 cases on June 13, Sunday, taking the total tally to 7,16,579. Now, there are 15,773 active cases in the city.
City recorded 19 deaths due to coronavirus on Sunday which pushed its fatality count to 15,183 as per data released by the city's civic body. 704 COVID-19 patients recovered and were discharged on Sundaytaking the recovery count to 6,83,382.
On Sunday, 30,137 tests were conducted. May 17 had reported the lowest count rate with just 17,640 tests. Till date, 66,20,508 tests have been conducted in the city.
Meanwhile, the doubling rate has increased to 653 days, while the weekly growth rate has declined to 0.10 percent.
There are total 22 containment zones in the city and 83 buildings have been sealed as per today's data. Recovery rate of Mumbai district is at 95 percent.
The Maharashtra Government has reiterated that there is no fudging of COVID-19 data but said that it has been engaged in data reconciliation regularly. The data reconciliation exercise conducted from May 26 to June 12 has seen deaths being reported with a delay from Pune, Thane, Nagpur, Nashik, Aurangabad, Ahmednagar, and Yavatmal. It has resulted in the state's overall pandemic-related deaths increasing by 8,840 to 1.08 lakh now.
