Kolkata: Following the poll debacle, senior BJP leader Tathagata Roy has been extremely vocal against several top West Bengal BJP leaders. On Sunday, Tathagata retweeted a BJP supporter’s social media post in Bengali with English equivalent urging West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee to let BJP Bengal observer Kailash Vijayvargiya join the TMC after Mukul Roy.

“Auntie (Buaji) Mamata, please take this stupid cat into Trinamool. He may be heartbroken missing his friend! They used to be together for the whole day,” the former Governor of Tripura retweeted a Twitter user's post.

Meanwhile, till the time of reporting, BJP West Bengal observer Kailash Vijayvargiya was not available for comment and TMC leader Mukul Roy also refused to comment on this.

It can be recalled that many a times, Tathagata had taken to Twitter and held West Bengal BJP Chief Dilip Ghosh and BJP observers Kailash Vijayvargiya, Shiv Prakash and Arvind Menon responsible for the loss of the saffron camp in West Bengal and also for the post-poll violence that followed after BJP’s loss to the ruling Trinamool Congress.

It is pertinent to mention that post-BJP’s failure in the recently concluded Assembly polls several turncoat leaders have shown their interest in rejoining the TMC.

Taking to Twitter, Tathagata even slammed the top BJP leaders of West Bengal for accepting them and also giving them tickets to contest the poll.

“Those who were welcomed by the BJP with arms wide open overlooking the traditional BJP cadres are now trying to return back to the TMC,” Tathagata wrote last month in Bengali.
