Hyderabad: The proposed bride’s father was booked for violating the closing protocol

Hyderabad: A man has been booked for violating the closing norms and organizing ‘obscene’ dancing by trans people at his daughter’s mehendi function on Friday night.

According to a report published in the New Indian Express, the incident took place in Habeeb Nagar. As soon as locals saw trans people dancing, many people began to gather.

One of the guests recorded the event and posted it on social media. The video showed dancers and guests violating COVID-19 norms.

After the video went viral on social media, police registered a case under the relevant sections of the Disaster Management Act and the Epidemic Diseases Act.

Earlier, nine young people, including birthday boys, namely Arjun and Sairam, were detained for violating the lock-up rules by celebrating their birthdays on the Afzal Sagar highway which falls under the jurisdiction of the Habeeb Nagar police station.

COVID-19 sake in Telangana

Meanwhile, Telangana recorded 1,771 new ones on Saturday. COVID-19 cases, which pushed the score to 6,028,898, while the death toll rose to 3,469 with another 13 deaths.

Greater Hyderabad covers the most cases with 171, followed by the districts of Nalgonda (157) and Khammam (149).

Currently the number of active cases in the state is 22133.
