Amritsar, June 12

Representatives of various Sikh organisations have unanimously decided to boycott parties using desecration cases for furthering their political cause in the next Assembly elections.

They took the decision during a virtual seminar attended by over 100 Sikhs from India and abroad today.

Jaswinder Singh, leader of Panthic Talmel Sangathan, said different committees were constituted to pursue various matters pertaining to the Sikh community. He said four resolutions had been passed in which they held the previous Parkash Singh Badal government responsible for not acting against the sacrilege accused and called upon parties to contest on public issues.

They formed a panel comprising HS Phoolka, Navkiran Singh, Harpreet Singh, RS Bains and Neena Singh to act against those using Sikh issues for furthering their political agenda.
