After petrol, diesel crosses Rs 100-mark in Rajasthan's Sri Ganganagar

With fuel prices rising for the 23rd time since May 4, petrol and diesel rates across many states have risen to historic highs. After petrol, diesel prices crossed Rs 100-mark in a city in Rajasthan as oil marketing companies raised fuel prices yet gain on Saturday. Sri Ganganagar, a small city in northernmost part of Rajasthan has become the first city in the country where retail prices of both petrol and diesel have now breached the Rs 100-mark. The city already had the distinction of having the highest pump price of petrol across the country at Rs 107.23 a litre. With diesel prices increasing by another 25 paisa per litre, it is now priced at Rs 100.06 a litre.
