One person is still trapped

Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): Four persons trapped after a tree uprooted and fell on a roadside eatery on Saturday evening. While three of them have been rescued, one was trapped, till filing this report. Rescue operation is on

The incident took place at Bhopal Talkies square. The Heavy rains coupled with strong winds lashed the city. Many trees were uprooted and many localities also witnessed waterlogging. The heavy rainfall also led to a disruption in Power supply in the area.

Though identities of victims are yet to be established, officials of Bhopal Municipal Corporation said the injured were undergoing treatment at Hamdia Hospital in critical condition.

BMC officials said that there were four persons including two customers and two employees present at the shop, when a tree uprooted and fell on it.

On getting information, a rescue team of BMC officials and police rushed to the spot and started the rescue operation.
