Actress Anita Hassanandani, on Friday, dismissed reports stating that she has quit acting after the birth of her baby boy Aaravv.

Taking to social media, Anita clarified that she has just taken a break from her first love, acting, to be with her child.

"It’s all over that I’m quitting my first love ACTING. I never said that…. All I said was that my focus right now is my child…. Aaravv is my priority… I will resume work when I’m ready," she tweeted.

Recently, in an interview with Bombay Times, Anita had said that she will stay away from acting and focus on being a mother for now. She shared that it is not due to the pandemic that she is away from the industry but because she wants to stay at home with Aaravv.

A few days back, Anita had made headlines when she came out in support of television actor Pearl V Puri who has been accused with rape of a minor. She had taken to Instagram to vouch for his innocence.

Anita is married to Rohit Reddy and the couple welcomed their first child Aarav Reddy in February this year.

They constantly share adorable photos and videos of their newborn. Aaravv also has a separate Instagram account that is handled by his parents.

The couple also shares their hilarious videos on Instagram. Their funny skits often tend to go viral, making them one of the most adored couples.

The actress has worked in daily soaps like Kabhii Sautan Kabhii Sahelii, Naagin, Ye Hai Mohabbatein and Kkavyanjali, among others. She has also featured in a couple of films and in the dance reality show, including Nach Baliye Season 9 which aired in 2019.
