The cotton business of Thailand has started to recover gradually due to improving global economic and health conditions. The cotton imports of the country were 700 thousand 480 lb bales in marketing year (MY) 2019-20, which dropped to 550 thousand 480 lb bales in MY 2020-21. They are likely to rise by 9.09 per cent to 600 thousand 480 lb bales in MY 2021-22.
