Chandigarh , Jun 12 (UNI) The BJP-JJP government of Haryana is continuously misleading the people of the state by telling lies, according to Haryana Congress state president Kumari Selja.
She has demanded a reply from the state government about the time limit of construction of Sheetla Mata Medical College in Gurugram.
In a statement issued here on Saturday, Kumari Selja said Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar ji would remember that on June 29 , 2017 , he had announced the construction of a medical college in Gurugram.
The Chief Minister had promised that its construction would be completed by 2022. Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also laid the foundation stone for it on September 27 , 2018.
Selja said , what can be more shameful than this that the construction work of the college has not started even after a lapse of four years. While laying the foundation stone, the Prime Minister had tied bridges of praise for the Khattar government. The Congress state president said this proves that the foundation of the Khattar government rests on lies. His focus is not on services but on appearances.
It is ironic that Prime Minister Narendra Modi keeps patting the Chief Minister on the back without knowing the reality of the situation in the state. Today the unemployment rate in Haryana has reached 29 percent. Does the Prime Minister know that once upon a time the economy of the most prosperous state has collapsed badly?
Taking a jibe at the government over the pathetic health services of Haryana, Kumari Selja said it is not hidden from anyone how much pain and torture the public suffered during the Corona period . There were no medicines , no beds in hospitals , oxygen was not known far and wide. Neither the central government made preparations to deal with Corona , nor did the state government. When Corona was at its peak, not a single BJP-JJP minister , worker came out of the house. The people and family members suffering from Corona were left on their own terms. The people have recognized the true form of government.
Kumari Selja said the memory of the public is very sharp , when the time comes , she will ask the government for an account of each and every thing.She said the government should stop lying , stop showing off.
