Study Abroad: 502 people going abroad vaccinated

MANGALURU: As many as 502 professionals working abroad, job aspirants and students going to other countries for studies were vaccinated during an exclusive second vaccination drive conducted by Dakshina Kannada district administration in association with the Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), here on Friday.
Yathish Baikampady, member of the Karnataka State Management Committee of Indian Red Cross Society said that out of 502 members, 10 beneficiaries received a second dose. There were 440 beneficiaries aged between 18-44 years.
In the next camp, those who are travelling abroad can avail vaccination from nearby PHC from June 14. The vaccination certificate is linked to passport and the same will be updated on CoWin app. Beneficiaries can take a second jab after 28 days.
Beneficiaries travelling abroad have to produce a passport along with a valid visa to get vaccinated at the centre.
