Hyderabad, Jun 12 (UNI) COVID-19 cases declined further in Telangana, with the state on Saturday reporting 1771 fresh cases, pushing cumulative cases to 6,02,089 so far.
With the death of 13 patients in the last 24 hours, the toll in the state due to the pandemic now stands at 3,469 translating a case fatality rate of 0.57 per cent as against the countrywide mortality rate of 1.3 per cent, according to the bulletin issued by the Office of the Director, Public Health and Family Welfare here on Saturday.
As many as 2384 people have recuperated from Coronavirus statewide in the past 24 hours to take the total number of recoveries thus far to 5,76,487, constituting a recovery rate of 95.74 per cent while the national average was 95 per cent.
Currently, the number of active cases in the state stands at 22,133, the bulletin said.
A total of 1,20,525 samples were tested in the state during the last 24 hours to detect the contagious virus out of which the results of 1,380 swab samples are awaited.
Since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, 1,66,32,289 COVID-19 tests have been carried out in the state so far, the bulletin said.
