GUNA (MADHYA PRADESH): A shocking incident, a Jan Shikshak attempted to commit suicide by consuming poison in the office of block education officer was died while undergoing treatment in Bhopal.

According to information Chandramouleshwar accused resource coordinator (BRC) Shambhu Singh Solanki of harassing him. He consumed poison on Thursday and was later referred to Bhopal for treatment.

He was admitted to a private hospital in a critical condition. The mess in education department can be gauged from the fact that 16 Jan Shikshaks had resigned collectively in Guna and now Chandramouleshwar has tried to commit suicide.

On Thursday scores of Jan Shikshak submitted a memorandum to the district coordinator complaining against the block resource coordinator Solanki.

In their memorandum, Jan Shikshaks threatened to resign collectively saying that BRC Solanki behaviour towards them are not good.

They claimed that Solanki treats Jan Shikshaks as bonded labourers and forces them to perform his domestic chores. He threatens the ones who raise objection by saying that he will withhold their salary.

Jan Shikshaks added that if this is not enough, BRC Guna used to pressurize them to get insurance from a particular insurance agent as his wife is an insurance agent. Faced with constant harassment, the Jan Shikshaks took to agitatoin.

Chandramouleshwar has shared the details of harassment to the district collector, to no avail.

When contacted, BRC Solanki denied all the allegations and said that the mental condition of the teacher is not well. He termed allegations levelled against him as baseless.
