PS5 Restock Update for Walmart, GameStop, PS Direct, Target and More

With Friday marking the release of PS5 exclusive Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, many industry analysts are expecting Sony's next-gen console to be bundled in with the game at certain retailers.

At the time of writing, PlayStation 5 supplies remain very limited across the board, but dedicated trackers are suggesting that this could change at a moment's notice.

Below is a breakdown of the latest information.

Walmart PS5 Restock

A number of Twitter users are reporting that they have managed to get their hands on the sought-after console today, courtesy of Walmart. On the retailer's page, a PS5 standard edition is listed for $1,090, which is considerably more expensive than usual.

If any new deals become available, you can find updates on Walmart's official Twitter account. In the past, their restocks have generally occurred on Thursdays, at roughly 3 p.m. ET, but that has not always been the case.

PS Direct PS5 Restock

If additional PS5 units are released, many analysts are predicting that they will be available through Sony's own PS Direct storefront. This would obviously tie in with the launch of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, but at the moment it has not happened.

If there is a significant restock later on, Twitter accounts like @Wario64 and @GYXdeals will let you know when the virtual queue reopens.

Target PS5 Restock

Target has not had any PS5s since May and, according to dedicated console trackers, this is not expected to change any time soon. Inventory numbers for the outlet are reportedly low across the entire U.S.

On the off chance that Target does get a restock, the announcement will probably occur early in the morning ET.

GameStop PS5 Restock

Both the digital and disc editions of the PS5 are currently sold out at GameStop.

Over the past few days, the official GameStop Twitter account has cryptically hinted that their inventory may be restocked, in order to give people a chance to experience Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart. If that turns out to the case, then they could potential announce something during the day.

In addition to this, there have been multiple reports from PS5 and Xbox Series X trackers, indicating that GameStop will soon be releasing new consoles. As such, it is definitely worth keeping an eye out.

Newegg PS5 Restock

On Wednesday, Newegg was offering multiple PS5 bundles as part of their regular "shuffle". This is essentially a raffle that gives customers a chance to be drawn at random, in the hopes that they will be able to add a PS5 to their basket.

The most recent shuffle ended on Wednesday evening and since then there has been no suggestion of more stock being released.

Costco PS5 Restock

The last time Costco had any PlayStation 5 consoles was near the end of April. At the time of writing, a bundle containing Spider-Man: Miles Morales is still listed on the page, but it has sold out.

If any units do become available at Costco, Twitter accounts like @Wario64 or @GYXdeals will let you know in advance.

Amazon PS5 Restock

At the time of writing, Amazon will not allow you to add a PS5 to your basket. A note on the product page indicates that the retailer is also unsure when a restock is likely to happen.

Best Buy PS5 Restock

There are still no PS5 consoles available at Best Buy. If the retailer does restock on units, then you will need to order one online and then physically collect it in-person.
